April 2012 - the world's largest global celebration of astronomy


April 2012 is around the corner and it will again be a busy month for amateur and professional astronomers, educators and astronomy enthusiasts as Global Astronomy Month (GAM) returns for its third edition.

GAM 2012 brings new ideas and new opportunities, and again brings enthusiasts together worldwide, celebrating One People, One Sky

The annual event, organized by Astronomers Without Borders, celebrates the Universe in the spirit of the International Year of Astronomy 2009. Astronomy groups, science centers, schools, educators, and other astronomy enthusiasts worldwide are invited to be a part of GAM 2012 sharing the enthusiasm with others across the globe.

The World Night is included among the events of the GAM 2012.
